Where Have I Been? (I've Been Everywhere)

I haven't blogged since 2015. Oops.

I also moved roughly 10 times in three years since 2015. I've been in the same place since 2017, and it feels like a miracle to not have to move every year (for now). 

What have I been doing? I finished my MA, started my Ph.D., and now I both travel for fun and research. I moved across the country. I also got married, debunking the myth that academics can't have partners/a personal life. 

What am I doing now? I'm now a third-year Ph.D. student and aspiring museum curator. I live somewhere between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, but really, I'm always on the road. I write this as I'm on month 4 of living out of a suitcase. 

What's my dissertation on? Well, who knows. Stay tuned.

I'm Back.

For whatever reason, people seem (or pretend to be) vaguely interested in what I do as an art historian and an aspiring curator. People are curious about where I'm traveling, why, and what my dissertation is. So, I'm reviving my blog. As I head into a year of grant writing, exams, and prospectus writing, get ready for an inside look at what art historians do (or me pretending I have even the slightest clue about what I'm doing).
