The Beginning.

Hello friends!

As I write this, I'm currently sitting in India! Hooray!

A few initial thoughts on my first experiences out of the country...
1. Someone should have told me there was a weight limit for my carry on.
2. Airport security is a joke.
3. I dread the day I ever lose my passport.
4. If you choose to bring your infant on a 14.5 hour plane ride, and the only thing that will keep the kid quiet is holding the kid, HOLD THE KID. At least for the sake of the rest of us.
5. Don't put your seat back without checking the height of the person behind you.
6. Do not accept drinks from random old Indian men.
7. Customs is not nearly as scary as one may expect.
8. If you think my driving is bad, come drive with an Indian driver. Dear Lord.
9. Wifi is glorious.
10. If you're in India, you will never lift a finger. Also known as, thank you wonderful doormen for carrying all my bags!
11. Jet lag & 14.5 hour plane rides SUCK.
12. Friends are beautiful.

I have to admit - I was quite hesitant to leave. You know how those sappy goodbyes can get. It made for quite a long plane ride. But then I got off the plane, got through customs, and walked out into New Delhi.

And then I was happy. And I think I quite like it here.

20 more days and I'll be back!

Much love friends :)
